The contest was attended by 6 teams from districts, towns and cities in the province. The special feature of the contest was not in the format but in the way the students expressed their feelings and understanding through carefully selected stories. Each performance was not simply a retelling of the content of a book, but was elaborately staged like a miniature play. Music, accompanying dance, poetry reading, folk songs and even skits were cleverly integrated, helping viewers easily feel the depth of content and humane message of each story.
Performances at the 8th Book Storytelling Contest
Many performances touched the hearts of viewers because of the emotional way the children recreated stories imbued with love, humanity, or memories of a difficult wartime. Besides, there were also performances that brought laughter, but were still moving enough to leave an echo of moral lessons, love and sharing. Each story told was not just a performance, but an emotional journey where the pages of books became a bridge to bring children closer to the world of knowledge and profound human values.
The contest is not only a healthy and useful playground for children but also plays an important role as a bridge between school, family and society in developing a reading culture. Through each performance, students not only practice reading comprehension and storytelling skills but also practice self-confidence, the ability to present in front of a crowd and especially cultivate a love of books from an early age.
