More than 20,000 vehicles/day and night travel on Trung Luong

(ABO) According to the Management Board of Civil Construction Investment Projects of Tien Giang province, after the official toll collection period from 0:00 on August 9, 2022 to the end of September 2023, the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project has collected more than 984 billion VND (an average of about 2,354 billion VND/day).

Accordingly, in 2022, the Project will collect nearly 299 billion VND in fees (an average of about 2.06 billion VND/day).

Revenue in the first 9 months of 2023 was over 685 billion VND (average of about 2.5 billion VND/day); in which, revenue in September alone reached about 69 billion VND. Currently, traffic volume on the expressway is about 20,181 vehicles/day and night.

Previously, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province decided the road service price for the Project as follows: Group 1, vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons, all types of public passenger buses cost 2,000 VND/km; Group 2, vehicles with 12 to 30 seats, trucks with a load capacity of 2 tons to under 4 tons cost 3,000 VND/km; Group 3, vehicles with 31 seats or more, trucks with a load capacity of 4 tons to under 10 tons cost 3,500 VND/km; Group 4, trucks with a load capacity of 10 tons to under 18 tons, trucks carrying goods in 20-foot containers cost 4,500 VND/km; Group 5, trucks with a load capacity of 18 tons or more, trucks carrying goods in 40-foot containers cost 6,500 VND/km.

The price per leg is determined by each vehicle, the actual distance traveled by the vehicle (km) and the unit price corresponding to each type of vehicle (VND/km).

Thus, the maximum price (from the beginning of the route to the end of the route with a length of 51.5 km) calculated per leg for group 1 vehicles is 103,000 VND, group 2 is 154,000 VND, group 3 is 180,000 VND, group 4 is 231,000 VND, group 5 is 334,000 VND.

According to the announced price plan, the toll collection period is 14 years and 8 months.
