With the coordination of the Department of Education and Training of the provinces, the program is continuously expanded, organized in both online and in-person formats at FPT University facilities. This is part of the effort to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

After 10 months of implementation, the program has organized more than 10 training sessions, attracting more than 5,000 high school teachers from the central and southern provinces. The two sessions on March 29-30 in Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon welcomed more than 500 teachers from 80 high schools in the provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Gia Lai.

The program “STEM Education in AI Era - STEM Education in the era of artificial intelligence” not only provides theoretical knowledge but also focuses on practice, helping high school teachers apply AI and STEM effectively in teaching.

Under the guidance of lecturers in the Information Technology industry, teachers have access to 6 in-depth contents, including: AI applications in high school teaching, AI model training tools, Micro:bit microcontroller, Data Visualization - data analysis and visualization with Python, Raspberry Pi Car - artificial intelligence self-driving car, and MIT App Inventor - building mobile applications.

In particular, teachers can directly practice assembling and operating Raspberry Pi Car using Breadboard, Pico microcontroller, programming and testing on Wokwi simulation. The combination of theory and practice helps teachers not only understand technology, but also flexibly apply it to teaching, contributing to improving the quality of STEM education in the context of digital transformation.

In order to help teachers implement STEM more effectively, FPT University sponsored nearly 100 STEM Kits in two training sessions on March 29 and 30, bringing the total number of kits donated to about 500. This kit includes tools to support teachers in guiding students in programming, implementing IoT (Internet of Things) projects, controlling robots and exploring artificial intelligence through practical activities, contributing to improving the quality of STEM teaching and learning in schools.

FPT University always puts STEM education at the center of development.

Sharing about the significance of the program, teacher Thanh Thuy, a teacher at Phan Dinh Phung High School (Phu Yen), shared that the training sessions not only provided in-depth knowledge but also created favorable conditions for teachers to apply STEM into teaching practice. With the knowledge gained in the training sessions and the sponsored STEM Kit, teachers have more conditions and abilities to deploy STEM at school more effectively. This practical support helps teachers become more confident in applying technology to teaching, thereby enhancing the learning experience for students.

The “STEM Education in AI Era” training sessions organized by FPT University aim to support high school teachers in accessing advanced technology and innovating teaching methods, helping them adapt to changes in the digital age. This is part of the “FPT University for the Community” program, aiming to improve the quality of general education through the application of AI and STEM in teaching.

Head of Admissions at FPT University, FPT Corporation, Le Binh Trung said that the project not only connects FPT University lecturers with high school teachers, but also helps students access STEM technology early.

This is an important step in promoting community education, equipping necessary skills in the AI era, in line with the mission of FPT University: Providing global competitiveness for a large number of learners, contributing to expanding the intellectual frontier of the country.

"FPT University always considers STEM education as the focus of its development strategy, and considers it part of its mission to contribute to the community. Through training sessions, the school not only improves the quality of teaching at the high school level, but also aims to develop high-tech human resources in the future," emphasized Head of Admissions Le Binh Trung.
