Doctor Bui Huy Dinh - Director of Binh Gia Regional Medical Center opened the training course
At the training course, trainees were updated with knowledge, aiming to change practical behaviors on proper nutritional care for children aged 0-16 and school nutrition, communication skills on nutrition education in schools, especially communicating to students and parents about a reasonable, diverse diet, full of micronutrients, contributing to improving the nutritional status of children in the area.
Overview of the training class at Binh Gia Regional Medical Center
Through the training, trainees' capacity to organize nutritious meals and provide nutrition education to school-age children has been improved, contributing to the implementation of the goals of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction by 2025.
Specific goals include: minimizing malnutrition among children under 16 years old in poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households, and children living in poor districts; 90% of schools organize appropriate nutrition education activities, healthy and safe food; 90% of schools organize semi-boarding and boarding meals that ensure food hygiene and safety standards.
