This information was announced at the "Conference to review the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period and orientation for the 2026-2030 period in the field of education and training" organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with agencies, units and localities today (September 12), in Da Nang city.

Conference scene.
Over the years, the National Target Program on New Rural Construction has always received deep attention from the Party, National Assembly, Government and the entire political system, achieving many positive results.
In that general result, the education and training sector has achieved many important achievements. The issue of improving school facilities, improving the quality of education, and vocational training for rural workers has had a clear change. The rate of schools meeting national standards has increased significantly, many localities have built new ones, upgraded facilities, and equipped with modern teaching equipment, especially in difficult areas.
Universal education and illiteracy eradication work has been maintained and improved, creating conditions for people in all regions to access basic education. Vocational training for rural workers has been implemented in accordance with practical needs, closely linked to production and the labor market. Many new occupations have been added, meeting the development trend of high-tech agriculture, digital economy, and e-commerce, contributing to diversifying livelihoods and increasing people's income.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee spoke at the Conference.
Up to now, nationwide, more than 87% of communes have met the School criteria; more than 95% of communes have met the Education - Training criteria in the National Criteria for New Rural Communes; nearly 50% of communes have met the Education - Training criteria in the Advanced New Rural Commune Criteria...
However, besides the positive results, the education sector in the new rural construction still has some limitations and challenges: The gap between regions is still large, especially in mountainous, remote and isolated areas; Facilities are not uniform; The teaching staff, especially in preschool and primary schools, is still lacking; The quality and sustainability of some criteria are not high. Some communes that have met the standards are only at the minimum level, lacking sustainability due to limited resources, low income of the people, and maintaining and improving quality after meeting the standards is still difficult.

Units and localities continue to improve the quality of education and training in new rural construction, contributing to "building a modern, comprehensive, sustainable new rural area that adapts to climate change" with the vision of "ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, civilized farmers".
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung emphasized: “In the near future, we will have many national target programs, but that does not mean that the national target program of this ministry will no longer have the same tasks as that of another ministry. There is clearly integration, interaction, and mutual support, and there will certainly be no overlapping or duplication of tasks. Each program has a very clear mission and goal, so we must also actively participate in these programs.”
