Merging Hai Phong Newspaper and Hai Phong Radio and Television Station into Hai Phong City Press and Communication Center

(CLO) On the afternoon of February 21, the Hai Phong City Party Committee announced a decision on the organization and personnel work of the city's political system and commended officials who retired early when implementing the organization and streamlining of the apparatus for the development of Hai Phong city.

Accordingly, the Conference announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on merging Hai Phong Newspaper and Hai Phong Radio and Television Station into the City Press and Communication Center; a public service unit under the City Party Committee, with the functions and tasks of the former Hai Phong Newspaper and Hai Phong Radio and Television Station.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee issued decisions on personnel work of the City Press and Communication Center, effective from March 1, 2025. Accordingly, comrade Pham Van Tuan, member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communication, holds the position of Director of the City Press and Communication Center.

The Deputy Directors of the City Press and Communication Center include: Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper; Nguyen Hong Duong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper; Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper; Le Khac Hiep, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hai Phong Newspaper; Luu Thi Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Radio and Television Station; Nguyen Quang Viet, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Radio and Television Station.

In addition, the Hai Phong City Party Committee announced decisions to end the activities of city-level Party delegations and Party executive committees; Party Committees of city agencies, Party Committees of city enterprises, and decisions to transfer Party organizations.

Announced the decision to establish the Party Committee of the city's party agencies directly under the Hai Phong City Party Committee, including 23 grassroots party organizations with 991 party members; appointed the Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the city's party agencies.

Hai Phong City Party Committee announced the decisions to establish the City People's Committee Party Committee under the Hai Phong City Party Committee, including 44 grassroots party organizations with 13,314 party members.

Also at the conference, the Hai Phong City Party Committee announced the decisions to merge the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee into the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee; and the decisions to appoint leaders of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee. Accordingly, comrade Pham Van Thep, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, was appointed Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee...

The above decisions take effect from March 1, 2025.
