According to the Hue City Civil Defense Command, up to now, the locality has 38 landslides. The mountainous commune of Khe Tre is the locality with the most landslides in Hue City, with 16 landslides and is currently isolated.

Khe Tre Commune Party Secretary, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong, said that all the main roads leading to the commune center were seriously eroded, and vehicles could not enter or exit. Khe Tre Commune authorities have directed the villages to erect barriers at the landslide sites, and arrange forces and machinery on site to gradually and temporarily fix the areas where rocks and soil have spilled onto the roads. At the same time, they continue to mobilize people in the evacuation locations to stay in safe locations until the flood stops.

The La Son - Tuy Loan expressway section passing through Khe Tre commune also has many landslides. In particular, at Km8, a huge volume of landslides, up to about 20,000 m3, was recorded. Although the weather was still heavy rain, the authorities still mobilized human resources and vehicles to gradually clean up to ensure one-way traffic. At Km13 of the expressway, the floodwaters flowed rapidly across the road, carrying trees and rocks, creating a temporary separation point here.

Hue City Civil Defense Command informed that National Highway 1A passing through the city is now basically open; National Highway 49A from Hue City center to A Luoi has landslides at many points, and is being opened to one-way traffic to ensure traffic; the majority of the Provincial Road system is still deeply flooded and impassable; the urban road system is deeply flooded, most of which are still barricaded, prohibiting vehicles from participating in traffic to ensure safety.

Currently, the water level on the Bo River and the Huong River in Hue City is still above the alarm level 3, decreasing very slowly. The situation of floods and landslides in Hue City is forecast to continue to be complicated. Local authorities are making efforts to direct responses to this historic flood to minimize human and property damage caused by natural disasters.
