How to log in to VNeID on a new phone when you lose your old one
If the phone is logged in to VNeID but is lost or damaged, log in to VNeID on the phone in the following ways:
- Step 1: Download the VNeID application on the new phone.
- Step 2: Select login and log in with your ID number and password.
- Step 3: After logging in, the application will display a notification that you are logging in on a new device. Click confirm to continue.
- Step 4: Because the old phone is lost or damaged, you cannot log in with the confirmation code on the old device's VNeID. Therefore, you must select "NFC authentication with chip-embedded CCCD card".
- Step 5: View the NFC authentication instructions using the chip-capable CCCD card displayed on the screen or select " Video instructions" to watch the video instructions.
Select “Continue” to proceed with NFC reading using the chip-embedded CCCD card.
- Step 6: After successfully reading NFC, the screen will display the activation interface on the device and the system will automatically send the OTP code. Finally, just enter that OTP code to log in to VNeID on the new phone.
Note: NFC authentication only supports some phone models. Therefore, if the phone does not support NFC reading or supports it but cannot read it, you must go to the commune police to get support to log in to VNeID on the new phone when you lose the old phone or the old phone is damaged. |
