Technical guide to fermenting green food for cows

The Provincial Agricultural Extension Center has just coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Xuan Dai Ward (Song Cau Town) to organize a training course on practical techniques for fermenting and storing green roughage and processing and mixing feed for cattle for 30 local farmers.

 

During the training course, students were instructed on how to practice fermenting grass, fermenting straw and mixing concentrated feed, making nutritional cakes, how to use and preserve feed on site using a hands-on approach. The training course also helps people grasp the techniques of utilizing agricultural by-products to process and store as feed for livestock, proactively providing feed without depending on the season and not being passive in the face of weather changes; at the same time, helping people know how to improve the source of nutrition in feed, increase the digestibility and absorption rate of feed for livestock.
