Responding to Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam

On the morning of September 10, the Department of Health and the Provincial Association of the Elderly held a conference to deploy the plan to implement the "Month of Action for the Elderly" in Vietnam in 2025 in Tuyen Quang province with the theme "Promoting the role of the elderly in the era of national growth".

The leader of the Department of Health spoke at the conference to deploy the plan "Action Month for the Elderly" in 2025.

According to the plan, activities will focus on propagating and raising awareness of all levels, sectors and the community in implementing the Law on the Elderly; paying attention to protecting, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly; mobilizing resources to support and help the elderly in difficult circumstances, especially the poor, lonely and homeless elderly.

During the “Action Month”, the province will organize a launching ceremony in accordance with the actual situation; promote communication on policies and laws for the elderly, solutions to cope with population aging; set typical examples in care work, promote the role of the elderly, visit and give gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances; organize free health check-ups, consultations, and cataract surgery for the poor elderly and the elderly in difficult circumstances.

Activities responding to "Action Month for the Elderly" will be implemented until the end of December 2025.
