On the morning of April 25, communes and towns in An Phu district that had adjusted the names of administrative units organized to collect voters' opinions in the district.

According to the legitimate wishes of voters to choose the name of the commune-level administrative unit associated with the local tradition, history and culture, An Phu district decided to adjust the name of An Phu Nam commune to Vinh Hau commune, on the basis of merging Da Phuoc town, Vinh Truong commune and Vinh Hau commune; adjust the name of An Phu Tay commune to Nhon Hoi commune, on the basis of merging Quoc Thai commune, Nhon Hoi commune; part of the area and population of Phuoc Hung commune and the area and population of Phu Thuan hamlet, Phu Trung hamlet, Phu Hoi commune; adjust the name of An Phu Dong commune to Phu Huu commune, on the basis of merging Phu Huu commune, Vinh Loc commune and the area and population of Con Coc area (Phuoc Khanh hamlet, Phuoc Hung commune).

Through the organization of opinion gathering, the majority of voters highly agreed on the adjustment of the name of the commune-level administrative unit associated with the tradition, history and local culture. After synthesizing the opinions of voters, the People's Councils of communes, towns and the People's Councils of districts will convene a meeting to gather opinions on the adjustment of the name of the administrative unit that has been agreed upon by voters.
