Ke Sach district speeds up the implementation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

STO - On June 5, Comrade Nguyen Van Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province organized a delegation to inspect the progress of housing construction for poor and near-poor households under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ke Sach district (Soc Trang). The delegation included leaders of relevant departments and agencies; leaders of the People's Committee of the district and specialized departments and agencies of Ke Sach district.

Reporting to the delegation, Comrade Cao Minh Thom - Vice Chairman of Ke Sach District People's Committee informed that through reviewing the beneficiaries of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the district has a total of 1,991 households. Specifically, the number of households with meritorious people having difficulty with housing is 157 households, of which 62 households are newly built and 95 households are repaired; the number of poor and near-poor households with difficulty in housing approved for support is 1,658 households, of which 1,352 households are newly built and 306 households are repaired. Regarding the subjects of the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas, the total number of households eligible for support is 176 households.

Accordingly, the district has reviewed and supplemented. Currently, the beneficiaries of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district have built and repaired 2,173 houses. As of June 4, the district has built 2,152 houses (1,628 newly built, 524 repaired), the remaining 21 houses have not been built for reasons, policy families overlap with near-poor households, poor households overlap with near-poor households...

Through a field trip to each household supported to build a house from the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ke Sach district, comrade Nguyen Van Khoi commented that Ke Sach district has carried out the work of reviewing and counting the beneficiaries closely, accurately, and methodically... Because through the reality, many households are very excited when receiving support from the locality to build new houses and repair houses, having a better place to settle down. Comrade Nguyen Van Khoi requested the People's Committee of Ke Sach district to continue to build the remaining 21 houses according to the schedule assigned by the province and to disburse funds to ensure progress so that after the commune merger, the capital disbursement will be completed. The district will continue to review and if there are any changes in repairs or new construction, it will send a request soon for the province to adjust, with the condition that the capital will not be increased.
