
From 1:30 a.m., thousands of athletes in the 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km distances took turns starting on the AIMS-standard route, passing through more than 30 famous landmarks such as: Hoan Kiem Lake, Long Bien Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Opera House...
In the 42km men's marathon, Huynh Anh Khoi excellently finished first with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes 15 seconds, surpassing "veteran" Nguyen Van Lai - who finished second with 2 hours 26 minutes 12 seconds.
This achievement not only helps the runner born in 2003 break his personal record, but also affirms the strong rise of young Vietnamese athletes.

In the women's category, former national athlete Pham Thi Hong Le finished first with a time of 2 hours 53 minutes 57 seconds, surpassing Doan Thi Oanh with a time of 2 hours 55 minutes 25 seconds.
In the 21km half marathon, Makino Saeki - an athlete from Japan won the championship with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes 02 seconds, while Vietnamese runner Nguyen Khanh Ly finished first in the women's category after a time of 1 hour 25 minutes 07 seconds.
The next positions in the top 5 are all experienced runners from major clubs at home and abroad, creating a fierce and exciting competition until the last meters.
In the 10km and 5km amateur distances, thousands of athletes of all ages finished together in a bustling atmosphere, demonstrating the sportsmanship and careful preparation of the organizing committee.

Not only a sports race, VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 is also a cultural and tourism festival of the capital. During the three days of the event (October 24-26), the Hoan Kiem Lake area and the walking street attracted more than 50,000 visitors to visit, cheer and experience, contributing to promoting the image of a modern, creative Hanoi but still imbued with traditional identity.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai affirmed: "Attracting athletes from 25 countries shows the growing appeal of Hanoi on the international sports map. More importantly, the tournament has contributed to stimulating tourism, creating a clear mark in the city's sustainable development strategy of culture - sports - tourism."
This year, the race continues its mission of spreading community values with the “Planting bamboo to prevent floods” program in Nghe An. Each athlete who finishes the race is equivalent to 30,000 VND contributed to the fund and a total of nearly 200 million VND was donated through 7,000 completed bibs, symbolized by the “Prosperity Tree” model at the finish line.
Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department highly appreciated VPBank's organizational model, creating a running race that inspires healthy living, demonstrates social responsibility and aims for green, sustainable sports.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong - Director of VPBank Communications & Marketing emphasized: "Prosperity is not only about finance, but also about health, spirit and connection. The race is a way for us to accompany the community on the journey of living healthier and more positively."
