The Capital's Sports, Culture, and Tourism Festival
Beyond a sporting event, the series of events at the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 helps Hanoi project the image of a modern, innovative city that still retains its rich traditional identity.

The race turned into a festival in the capital with a series of exciting activities.
Throughout the three days of the event (October 24-26), the Ho Guom area and pedestrian streets transformed into a "marathon village" in the heart of the capital, attracting over 50,000 visitors who came to explore, experience, and cheer. Activities such as the Marathon Expo, bib distribution, brand display area, check-in zone, and the VPBank Prime Night music festival enlivened the weekend atmosphere, turning the race into a true festival.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, assessed: "Attracting athletes from 25 countries shows the growing appeal of Hanoi on the international sports map. More importantly, the tournament has contributed to stimulating tourism and creating a clear mark in the city's sustainable development strategy for culture, sports, and tourism."

Beyond the professional aspects and cultural significance, this year's race continues its commitment to the "Planting Bamboo for Flood Control" community initiative. Nearly 7,000 finisher bibs were affixed to the "Tree of Prosperity" model, representing over 200 million VND contributed by the organizers to the bamboo planting fund in Nghe An province. This is how the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon connects runners' spirit of sharing with community responsibility.
Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, highly praised the VPBank Hanoi International Marathon's organizational model, noting that it creates a strong ripple effect in promoting the spirit of sports while making a positive contribution to the community. "This is a direction consistent with the vision of developing green and sustainable sports, and at the same time contributes to promoting grassroots sports – an essential element for elevating high-performance sports."
