On the morning of October 26, more than 11,000 athletes officially conquered the iconic roads of Hanoi within the framework of VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2025. From 1:30 am on October 26, athletes in the 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km distances started on the iconic route in Hanoi . At the 42km distance, athlete Huynh Anh Khoi excellently finished first with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes 15 seconds, surpassing "veteran" Nguyen Van Lai - who finished second with a time of 2 hours 26 minutes 12 seconds. The runner born in 2003 could not hide his emotions when breaking his own personal record - since he started running marathons 2 years ago.

In the women's category, "steel rose" Pham Thi Hong Le finished first in the marathon distance with a time of 2 hours 53 minutes 57 seconds, while Doan Thi Oanh finished second with a time of 2 hours 55 minutes 25 seconds.

The 21km half marathon distance witnessed an impressive acceleration from Japanese runner Makino Saeki. He finished first with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes 02 seconds. Athletic beauty Nguyen Khanh Ly finished first in the women's category - after 1 hour 25 minutes 07. The next positions in the top 5 group are all experienced runners from major domestic and international clubs, bringing dramatic chases on the race track.

In addition to the group of professional and semi-professional athletes achieving impressive results, thousands of amateur athletes also finished in a bustling atmosphere, demonstrating the quality of operation and careful preparation of the tournament. During the three days of the event (October 24-26), the Hoan Kiem Lake area and walking street became a "marathon village" in the heart of the capital, attracting more than 50,000 visitors to visit, experience and cheer. Activities such as Marathon Expo, bib distribution, brand display area, check-in area and VPBank Prime Night music festival stirred up the weekend atmosphere, turning the race into a real festival.
