A series of outstanding achievements helped VPBank shine at Mastercard's honor ceremony

With 11 prestigious awards from Mastercard, VPBank continues to demonstrate outstanding competitiveness in the card and payment market, alongside its strategy of developing a sustainable and modern product ecosystem.

At the annual Mastercard Customer Forum 2025, held on December 5th, the world's leading electronic payment technology company honored Vietnam Prosperity Commercial Bank ( VPBank ) with 11 prestigious awards, making VPBank the bank with the most awards in 2025. This also marks the sixth consecutive year that VPBank has received these important awards from Mastercard, demonstrating the stability of its strategy and the effectiveness of its persistent efforts in the card and digital payment sectors.

The awards VPBank received in the card-related categories comprehensively reflect the bank's market leadership in the field of modern payments. Specifically, VPBank was recognized with nine awards: Leading Bank in Credit Card Spending, Leading Bank in Credit Portfolio Size, Leading Bank in Debit Card Portfolio, Leading Bank in Trade Payment Transaction Volume, Leading Bank in Trade Payment Growth, Outstanding Bank in the E-commerce Ecosystem, Leading Bank in International Payments, Leading Bank in International Travel Spending, and Innovative Bank. These core categories demonstrate VPBank's prominence in expanding its customer base, improving transaction quality, providing seamless, secure, and convenient payment experiences, and maintaining its pioneering spirit in product innovation.

In addition to the specialized awards for card operations, Mastercard also recognized VPBank's strategic progress in two categories: the New Solutions for Trade Payments award for VPBankSME for successfully launching outstanding solutions, setting new standards in innovation and customer experience, and the award for Steadfastly Moving into a New Era.

One of the factors contributing to VPBank's continuous accolades lies in its outstanding growth in the card segment, particularly credit cards. According to data from the Vietnam Card Association, in the first six months of 2025, VPBank continued to hold the number one position in the market for total credit card usage volume, including both payment and cash withdrawal volumes, reaching over 90 trillion VND. This figure accounts for nearly 20% of the entire market, demonstrating the popularity and strong competitiveness of VPBank's card products. During the same period, the bank also led in the number of cards in circulation with over 1.7 million active credit cards.

Previously, in 2024, VPBank recorded total credit card sales of over VND 176.9 trillion, accounting for 18% of the entire market. Maintaining its leading position for many consecutive years demonstrates the effectiveness of its long-term investment strategy in the digital payment ecosystem and the development of new card lines tailored to the needs of each customer segment.

VPBank is also investing heavily in technology to provide optimal experiences, pioneering the introduction of a complete suite of popular Tap & Pay payment solutions: Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, VP Pay, Garmin Pay, and Pay by Account.
