Also attending the Conference were representatives of the leadership of units under the State Audit Office, along with all leaders, officials, and employees of the State Audit Office's specialized branch VI.

In 2025, under the close guidance of the Party Committee and the leadership of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAO), the SAO Sector VI comprehensively implemented its work plan and achieved many outstanding results. To date, the unit has completed the planned audits, including: 7 audit reports have been issued as required, and the remaining 2 audit reports are in the final stages of completion and submission to the SAO leadership.
In addition to the planned annual audits, the State Audit Office of Vietnam, Sector VI, conducted three supplementary audits: an audit of the revaluation of tangible fixed assets of the Hoa Binh , Tri An, and Ialy hydropower plants; a final settlement of the value of state capital at the time of officially converting the parent company - Power Generation Corporation 2 - into a joint-stock company; and the Thach Khe iron ore mining and processing investment project in Ha Tinh province. These were new and challenging audits, but the unit completed them on schedule, submitted them for comments from the relevant units, and issued audit reports.

The total number of financial recommendations for increasing state budget revenue reached VND 729.7 billion, financial recommendations related to basic construction investment reached VND 11.5 billion, and other recommendations amounted to VND 331.9 billion. Besides recommendations on improving management and administration, and reviewing collective and individual responsibilities, the audit reports focused on evaluating the policy mechanisms and management of state agencies. The State Audit Office of Vietnam, Sector VI, issued 20 recommendations to ministries, sectors, and localities.
In particular, in 2025, the State Audit Office of Vietnam, Sector VI, regularly reviewed outstanding recommendations to promptly urge units to continue implementing them according to regulations. As of the reporting date, units audited in 2024 had implemented 188.71 billion VND, corresponding to 99.91% of the financial recommendations with sufficient evidence; there were no recommendations from audited units that remained unprocessed or unanswered.
At the conference, Deputy Auditor General Doan Anh Tho and representatives from various units of the State Audit Office of Vietnam acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the achievements of the Specialized Audit Department VI in auditing activities as well as the promotion of information technology application to effectively serve audits. In particular, the Specialized Audit Department VI has successfully completed many complex audits with a wide scope, promptly issued audit reports, and provided valuable information and support for the National Assembly 's oversight activities and the Government's management and administration.
To effectively implement the 2026 work plan, especially the audit tasks, Deputy Auditor General Doan Anh Tho requested the State Audit Office of Vietnam, Sector VI, to overcome the shortcomings identified, improve political and ideological education; effectively implement the 2026 audit plan, including some difficult and new audits related to digital transformation; and carefully study the audit outline to develop a high-quality and effective audit plan.
