According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, with the theme "Sustainable Tourism - Vibrant Experience", ITE HCMC 2025 affirms its position as the leading prestigious international tourism forum in Vietnam and the lower Mekong region, while expanding cooperation and promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam to international friends.
The event attracted 402 booths, with the participation of 240 high-quality international buyers, with 28,000 trade visitors and thousands of public visitors. At the Saigontourist booth alone, more than 100 international buyers directly signed transactions and brought in an estimated revenue of 10 billion VND, with more than 400 customers booking tours right at the fair.
In addition to the exhibition activities, ITE HCMC 2025 marked the achievement of 20,000 business appointments, of which nearly 50% were successfully signed, thanks to the support of 60 Vietnamese trade offices abroad. This is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of trade promotion and international market expansion that the event brings.
Specialized programs also left many impressions. Specifically, on September 4 and 5, there were 9 large-scale forums, conferences, and seminars, with the participation of 9 international speakers, 33 domestic experts and more than 2,500 delegates. The main content focused on digital transformation, green transformation, improving service quality and developing unique products, contributing to shaping the long-term strategy for Vietnam's tourism industry .
In addition, ITE HCMC 2025 also created a strong media effect with the presence of more than 60 international press agencies, KOLs and TikTok content creators from 20 countries, along with hundreds of domestic reporters. A total of more than 3,900 news, articles and images were posted, spreading the image of a friendly, dynamic and sustainable Ho Chi Minh City.
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City hosted TPO 2025 for the first time, gathering leaders of member cities, combined with ITE HCMC 2025, Vietnam International Sourcing Expo and Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum to create a vibrant international economic and tourism week.
The event attracted more than 1,000 VIP guests, senior leaders and global business representatives. Here, the TPO 2025 organizing committee also honored the categories of the TPO BEST AWARDS 2025. Ho Chi Minh City was honored with the Tourism Marketing Award thanks to the campaign "Find Your Vibes". This award recognized creative efforts in promoting destination brands, while affirming the City's pioneering role in regional tourism development.
Mr. David Lee, a representative of a travel agency from Korea, said: “We are very impressed with the professionalism and scale of ITE HCMC 2025. The business meetings here not only help us approach many potential partners but also open up opportunities to build new tourism products associated with Ho Chi Minh City. I especially appreciate the 'Find Your Vibes' campaign, because it truly portrays the city's identity and is suitable for the needs of personalized experiences of Korean visitors to Ho Chi Minh City."
Domestic enterprises also achieved positive results when participating in the fair. Ms. Tran Phuong Linh, Director of Marketing and Information Technology of BenThanh Tourist, said: “ITE HCMC 2025 brought us nearly 200 business appointments, including many partners from Russia and Eastern Europe. This is a positive signal for BenThanh Tourist to expand the market, develop MICE products and high-end resorts. In particular, autumn - winter tours such as viewing red leaves in China, Korea, and Japan have attracted a large number of customers to register right at the booth, showing that our products meet the market's needs."
Commenting on this event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that ITE HCMC 2025 is not only a tourism trade fair but has become a strategic bridge for Ho Chi Minh City to affirm its international destination brand. Through the event, the organizers also hope that the image of a dynamic, friendly and sustainable city will spread more strongly to key markets, contributing to realizing the goal of welcoming 7 million international visitors in 2025.
