2007 Ballon d'Or winner Kaka did not include himself or Lionel Messi in his all-time XI.
The former Brazilian striker did not include himself in the squad. In the 4-3-3 formation, he chose three strikers: Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho were Kaka's former teammates in the Brazilian national team. They won the 2002 World Cup together.

Cristiano Ronaldo played alongside Kaka at Real Madrid. Both joined the Bernabeu in the summer of 2009. At that time, Real paid 74 million USD to AC Milan for Kaka's services and 96 million USD to Man Utd to buy Ronaldo with the ambition of building a new "Galaxy".
In the remaining positions, Kaka also mostly chose players he had played with. He chose Dida, his former teammate at AC Milan and the Brazilian national team, as his best goalkeeper. The two best full-backs, according to Kaka, are two former Brazilian players: Cafu on the right wing and Roberto Carlos on the left wing.
The two central defenders chosen by Kaka were AC Milan's Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta. During his six years at the San Siro, Kaka was always free to attack thanks to the solidity of this Italian central defender duo. Together, they won the Serie A championship in 2003-2004 and the Champions League in 2006-2007. Kaka's peak was when he won the 2007 Ballon d'Or, before this award was dominated by Ronaldo and Messi.
In midfield, Kaka chose Andrea Pirlo, Zinedine Zidane and Andres Iniesta. Pirlo was Kaka's former teammate in the legendary AC Milan team led by Carlo Ancelotti. But Zidane and Iniesta were his rivals. Zidane was the inspiration for France to defeat Kaka's Brazil in the quarter-finals of the 2006 World Cup while Iniesta played for Barca - Real's rivals.
Kaka's team has nine Ballons d'Or. Cristiano Ronaldo has five, Ronaldo Nazario two, Ronaldinho one and Zidane one. Messi, who has eight Ballons d'Or, is not included.
