In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023, Arnold Schwarzenegger (75 years old) talked about continuing his relationship with his "wonderful girlfriend" after his divorce from Maria Shriver.
"Heather is so successful. I'm really proud of her and I love her," he said of Milligan.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were married for 25 years and divorced in 2011 due to the actor's infidelity. They have four children: Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher.
Despite their divorce, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shriver have remained close as they co-parent their adult children. "She and I are really good friends, very close, and we take great pride in the way we raise our children," he said.

In November 2017, Milligan posed with Schwarzenegger and son Patrick at the GQ Men of The Year Awards. In November 2018, she and Schwarzenegger stepped out with daughter Katherine and son-in-law Chris Pratt at FIG restaurant and the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, California.

In September 2022, she and Schwarzenegger met many family members as they enjoyed drinks with sons Christopher and Patrick at Oktoberfest in Germany.
Two months before Maria Shriver filed for divorce (July 2011), Arnold Schwarzenegger publicly admitted that he had a son, Joseph (25 years old), with the family's longtime housekeeper, Mildred Patricia Baena.
