At the meeting, the Steering Committee for Border Affairs of An Giang province and border localities made recommendations and proposals on many issues, such as: Early unification and promulgation of the Agreement on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border regulations to replace the 1983 Agreement, to ensure a legal basis, as a basis for the border management and protection forces, and the authorities of border provinces to carry out the task of firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border. Continue to negotiate with the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the remaining border section of the province, not yet demarcated (about 22km)...

On behalf of the survey team, comrade Trinh Duc Hai acknowledged the careful and thoughtful preparation of An Giang province, the extremely important suggestions and contributions of many units and localities in the province. The management and protection of the province's borders have been carried out very well, with close coordination between central and local ministries and branches. The working group fully acknowledged the recommendations of the province. It is requested that the province continue to report more clearly on difficulties and problems, and send them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , as a basis for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work with relevant ministries and branches, and advise the Government on appropriate policies.
