After the opening whistle, the Vietnamese Olympic team rushed to attack, striking the opponent head-on.

In the 3rd minute, Duc Viet passed the ball intelligently for Quoc Viet to escape and score against Mongolia, opening the score for Olympic Vietnam.

In the 65th minute, Minh Trong escaped down the left wing and passed the ball back to Nguyen Hoang to finish, raising the score to 4-1 for Olympic Vietnam.

In the final minutes of the match, coach Hoang Anh Tuan's students started to slow down in order to protect their results.

Taking advantage of that opportunity, Olympic Mongolia began to push up their attacking formation.

In the 90+5 minute, goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan did not come out accurately, creating conditions for Baljinnyam to score, shortening the score to 2-4.

However, the remaining time was too little and not enough for Mongolia to make a difference.

In the end, Olympic Vietnam won with a score of 4-2 in the opening match of Group B of ASIAD 19.
