According to Mr. Ha, this is an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in the Kansai region in particular and Japan in general to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, build a strong community, turn towards the homeland, and make positive contributions to the Vietnam-Japan relationship.
Mr. Iwaya Ryohei - representative of the Japanese National Assembly - shared his joy that Vietnamese culture is increasingly loved in the land of the rising sun: "I believe that today's festival is a great opportunity to widely introduce Vietnamese culture and spirit to the Japanese people."
Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam said: During the days of celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day on April 30 and looking forward to the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, he felt extremely proud and excited to be able to turn to his homeland and compatriots in a place far away from Vietnam but still felt like he was in his own country.
Mr. Do Hai Khoi - Head of the program's organizing committee said: "We chose this time to organize the Festival because of the great significance of April 30, so that we, the children living far away from home, can relive the spirit of solidarity and pride in the heart of Japan. Most importantly, we want to send the message: No matter where we are, Vietnamese hearts always turn to their roots. The Festival is not only a cultural festival but also a bridge connecting Vietnamese souls, evoking national pride and introducing to international friends a dynamic Vietnam rich in cultural traditions".
The program attracted the attention of many young people. |
The event was attended by artists representing the two regions of the country such as Issac, Phuc Anh, Duyen Quynh, Hoang Giang, Minh Anh and the Vietnamese community in Japan. The festive atmosphere opened with the heroic medley “The Country is Full of Joy” and “As if Uncle Ho were with us on the Great Victory Day”.
Not only stopping at traditional melodies, the Festival also evokes youthfulness and contemporary breath with the special performance "Shout out Vietnam" from the Shinobi Swag group - a team of young Vietnamese artists currently active in Japan with a style that blends modern hip hop and Eastern culture.

This was also the first time that audiences in Japan had the chance to hear the owner of this hit with over 2 billion views perform the song on stage.
Closing the opening program was the performance “Song of Solidarity” – performed by hundreds of artists from art groups such as VJCP Art Center, Sao Mai Dance Group, V-Cosmo, V-Artists… and the 2025 Vietnam Heart Ambassadors in traditional costumes representing 54 ethnic groups.
At the program, the Organizing Committee also presented 100 conical hats and scarves to guests and delegates.
Many audiences participated in the Campaign "Ten Thousand National Flags Flying". |
Along with the art festival, the exhibition and booth display area at Hanazono Park has become a vibrant destination, gathering the cultural, artistic and culinary colors of Vietnam, Japan and internationally - organized by the Vietnamese community in Japan.
A special thing is that all the public attending the Festival can participate in the Campaign “Thousands of National Flags Flying”, receive a national flag before entering the event venue and check-in at the red carpet area with a 300-meter long flag strip. To prepare for this campaign, since March, the Organizing Committee has transferred 10,000 national flags from Vietnam to Japan.
