Opening of the photo exhibition space "Vietnam's ethnic minorities accompany the country's development"

On December 14, at the Quang Tri Province Cultural and Cinema Center, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri Province opened the photo exhibition space "Vietnam's ethnic minorities accompany the country's development". The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Quang Tri Province.

Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee Nguyen Thi Hai Nhung; Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri, Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee Le Minh Tuan attended.

Nearly 200 typical photos are displayed in the exhibition space according to 5 themes: President Ho Chi Minh with ethnic minorities; the Party and State's attention to ethnic minorities; the community of 54 ethnic groups through a cultural perspective; outstanding achievements through the perspective of traditional ethnic minority culture; destinations for the new era.

The organizers hope that the exhibition will provide an overview of the great solidarity of the 54 ethnic groups in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise. The images on display introduce traditional national culture, religious rituals, customs, traditional arts, tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the people and some precious images of President Ho Chi Minh.

The photo exhibition takes place from December 14-16.

On the same day, the Festival officially took place with the following sports: crossbow shooting, stick pushing, tug of war, and slingshot shooting. The sports gathered more than 260 athletes from 11 provinces and cities to compete: Vinh Phuc, Son La, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Nghe An, Dak Lak, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai.

Male athletes compete in crossbow shooting.

Crossbow shooting, athletes compete in the following events: male individual, female individual standing shooting; female team, male team standing shooting; male individual, female individual kneeling shooting; male team, female team kneeling shooting.

In pole vault, male athletes compete in the following weight categories: up to 55kg, over 55-60kg, over 60-65kg, over 65-70kg; female athletes compete in the following weight categories: up to 50kg, over 50-55kg, over 55-60kg, over 60-65kg.

Slingshot, athletes compete in the following events: male individual, female individual standing shooting; male and female team standing shooting; mixed and female team standing shooting; male individual, female individual kneeling shooting; male and female team kneeling shooting; mixed and female team kneeling shooting...
