Opening of the Painting Exhibition

(NADS) - On the morning of November 29, at the Hanoi Cultural Center, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Dong district held the opening ceremony of the Painting and Photo Exhibition to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Ha Dong (December 6, 1904 - December 6, 2024).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Xuan, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Ha Dong District Party Committee; Ly Thi Thuy Hanh, Director of the Hanoi City Cultural Center; Nguyen Van Truong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Ha Dong District People's Council; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Ha Dong District People's Committee; Artist Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the Hanoi Art Photography Association.

The Artistic Painting and Photography Exhibition celebrating the 120th anniversary of the founding of Ha Dong is a special section in the series of welcoming activities of the District. With a burning passion for art and a special love for the land of Ha Dong, the two authors, comrade Truong The Cau, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Dong town (now Ha Dong district), former City Party Committee member, Secretary of Phu Xuyen District Party Committee and comrade Nguyen Van Truong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Dong district, along with a number of photographers, brought to the Exhibition 70 Painting and Photography works that truly and vividly reflect the beauty of the land and people of Ha Dong as well as the remarkable changes of the homeland of Ha Dong over 120 years of construction and development.

Located in the Southwest of Hanoi Capital - Ha Dong is a land with a rich cultural history, patriotic tradition, and strong revolutionary will. Throughout 120 years of formation and development, through 8 times of separation - merger, name change and administrative boundary change, Ha Dong has always deserved its position as the center of Ha Dong province, Ha Son Binh, Ha Tay in the past and is an inner city district of Hanoi Capital today.

Exactly 120 years after the founding day, 70 years after the Liberation day, through many ups and downs of history, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Dong are always proud of their glorious contributions to the cause of national liberation, national development, as well as the role of a central urban area throughout many historical periods. Generations of Ha Dong people with their bravery, intelligence, and sacrifice have built up a tradition of patriotism, solidarity, diligence, and creativity in production and labor, creating a profound and multidimensional culture, a symbol of Ha Dong.

With 70 paintings and photos on display, I hope the Exhibition brings the most authentic views of the changes and development of Ha Dong over the past 120 years; as well as the proud achievements of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Ha Dong district during the 120 years of formation, construction and development. Thereby, it aims to educate the tradition of patriotism and love for the homeland, especially for the young generation; at the same time, raise awareness for the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people about the responsibility of the entire political system in building and developing Ha Dong district to become increasingly rich, civilized, modern and sustainably developed.

The exhibition is open from November 29 to December 3.
