Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Heads of agencies and units; and a large number of officers and soldiers of the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command.

In his opening speech, Colonel Pham Van Dat - Deputy Political Commissar of Gia Lai Provincial Military Command said: The Organizing Committee has selected and broadcast 13 films, including 5 documentaries and 8 feature films. These are works of value in content and art, reflecting the noble qualities and noble missions of soldiers in wartime and peacetime; expressing gratitude and honoring the history, tradition of loyalty to the Party, filial piety to the people, readiness to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for Socialism, completing any mission, overcoming any difficulty, defeating any enemy of our Army. This is a practical activity to propagate and educate cadres, soldiers and people to better understand the significance, stature and historical value of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the resistance war against the invading American imperialists, liberating the South, and unifying the country. Thereby, arousing patriotism, national pride, determination to overcome difficulties, contributing to building and firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new situation.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Film Projection Team screened the documentary “Tay Nguyen Acupuncture Points” and the film “The Sound of the Fateful Gong”.
The film week in Gia Lai will take place from April 14 to April 16. After the opening night, the films will continue to be screened at Infantry Company 1, Duc Co District Military Command at 7 p.m. on April 15. Then, from 7 p.m. on April 16, the films will be screened at Infantry Battalion 50, Infantry Regiment 991, Provincial Military Command.
