- In recent years, the promotion of mechanization and modernization in agricultural production has contributed to reducing labor for farmers as well as improving productivity, quality and value of agricultural production in the province.
For many years, the economy of Mr. Luong Van Vong's family in Khon Se village, San Vien commune, Loc Binh district has mainly depended on agricultural production with 8 sao of rice fields and crops. Mr. Vong said: In the past, the family's land preparation was very difficult, having to use buffaloes to plow for 3-4 days. About 3 years ago, my family invested in a tractor to serve production. With the machine, land preparation and ridge making only took about 1 day.
The introduction of machinery into production not only saves time and effort but also helps ensure the quality of the land, creating square beds to better serve the process of caring for and harvesting crops. Not only serving his family, with modern machinery invested, Mr. Vong also accepts to work on land for other households, thereby contributing to increasing income.
Similarly, the application of machinery in production has helped Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong's family in Quan Thanh village, Chi Lang commune, Chi Lang district reduce effort and time in taking care of the custard apple garden. Mr. Cuong said: My family has been growing custard apples for a long time, and now has 700 trees. Previously, watering the custard apple trees was done manually by carrying water or installing a pump and pulling the rope to water. Watering like that takes a lot of effort and wastes water. For about 3 years now, from the State's support, my family has provided additional funds to install an automatic watering and fertilizing system. Installing an automatic watering system helps my family save a lot of time and effort in taking care of the custard apple trees. On average, each year, the family's income from custard apple trees reaches over 300 million VND.
Along with the two cases mentioned above, in recent years, people in many places in the province have promoted the application of mechanization and modernization in agricultural production. At the same time, relevant levels and sectors have implemented a number of solutions to accompany and support people to promote mechanization in production.
Mr. Dang Van Hien, Deputy Head of the Department of Rural Development, Department of Agriculture and Environment said: To promote the development of mechanization in agricultural production, relevant levels and sectors have implemented credit support policies for the agricultural and rural sectors so that people have more resources to invest in equipment for production; promote the development of rural infrastructure, especially rural transport infrastructure, intra-field roads, irrigation systems; organize training and vocational training for rural workers in the use and repair of machinery; ...
Specifically, from 2021 to present, relevant agencies and units have supported over 1,300 cases with a loan capital of nearly 600 billion VND (credit interest support policy) to develop agriculture and rural areas, including investing in machinery and equipment for agricultural production; solidifying over 1,700 km of rural roads of all kinds, of which 194 km of main intra-field roads have been solidified...
With the initiative of the people and the support of the State, the mechanization and modernization of agricultural production in the province have had clear changes. Up to now, the rate of mechanization in agriculture in the stages of land preparation for cultivation has reached 92%, watering 30%, spraying 47%, harvesting 55%. In livestock farming, the rate of barns with cooling and heating systems accounts for 33%, automatic feed supply 30%, barn cleaning 31%, feed processing 12%... The rate of agricultural mechanization in all stages of the fields of cultivation and livestock farming has doubled compared to 2021.
The application of mechanization in agriculture has significantly contributed to saving time and effort for farmers; contributing to improving production efficiency, reducing losses in harvesting. At the same time, promoting the application of mechanization also gradually organizes agricultural production in an industrial direction, increases labor productivity, product quality, and promotes sustainable agricultural development. Thereby contributing to the implementation of the goals and tasks set by the agricultural sector in 2025 (GRDP growth rate of the whole sector reaches 7.7-8%; the structure of the agricultural and forestry sector in the general GRDP structure of the whole province accounts for 21-22%; newly planting over 9,000 hectares of forest; the area of growing agricultural crops is 94,800 hectares...).
