On March 26, in Hue City, Vietnam Railways Corporation , Thua Thien Hue Province Department of Tourism and Da Nang City Department of Tourism jointly organized the opening of a specialized train running from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa with the name "Connecting Central Heritage".
The operation of the Hue - Da Nang train not only contributes to ensuring traffic connection for people between Hue and Da Nang cities but also creates an interesting experience for tourists when coming to the two most ancient and modern tourist cities in the country.
Accordingly, in the initial period of operation, the train consists of 5 modern air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and 01 community activity carriage, promising to be an impressive "mobile" check-in point for tourists. At Da Nang and Hue stations, the railway industry also arranged VIP waiting rooms to serve passengers. On the journey, tourists can also enjoy special local cuisine...
With a travel time of about 3 hours, the train will take visitors through Hai Van Pass - known as "The most majestic pass in the world" to Da Nang - a place with a long coastline honored as one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet.
And in the opposite direction (Da Nang - Hue), visitors will set foot on the heritage land - the ancient capital of Hue. From the train, visitors can admire the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, where the South and North meet, with the Truong Son mountain range on one side and the immense ocean on the other.

After arriving at Hue station and Da Nang station, right in front of the station, the localities have arranged an automatic bicycle rental system using QR code scanning for the convenience of tourists visiting scenic spots.
In particular, Thua Thien Hue province also applies a discount support policy for organizations and individuals when visiting tourist attractions in Hue (applicable once for each train ticket). It is expected that in April, the train will be equipped with wifi to serve passengers...
Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railway Corporation, said that the operation of the train "Connecting Central Heritage" is one of the efforts to connect the region and promote tourism of the People's Committees of the two cities and is a new product, opening the way for transport business products combined with tourism services that Vietnam Railways will deploy in the near future.
Currently, Vietnam Railways Corporation is making efforts to renew the image of the railway station and the train. "In addition to the task of transporting passengers and goods, we also want to share our own values with the community. The train journey is for tourism, for experience, the train is a "mobile check-in" point, the station is a destination for culture, art, history and heritage", said Mr. Dang Sy Manh.
"We want to target the luxury cruise ship segment, aiming to connect more localities and regions. Aiming for more convenient services, such as cooperating with other modes of transport to make a ticket for the entire journey of tourists, the cruise journey is a segment in the journey of tourists", Mr. Dang Sy Manh added.
Every day, Vietnam Railways Corporation will organize 2 pairs of trains with code HD1/2 and HD3/4 between Hue - Da Nang with the name Specifically: In Hue, train HD1 departs from Hue station at 7:45 am, arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 am; train HD3 departs from Hue station at 2:25 pm and arrives at Da Nang at 5:40 pm. In Da Nang, train HD2 departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 am and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 am; train HD4 departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 pm and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 pm.
In particular, during the opening month, there will be a preferential ticket price of 150,000 VND/ticket; monthly ticket price of 900,000 VND/ticket (monthly tickets purchased at stations only) and a discount of 10% - 50% for passengers who are policy beneficiaries.
