On November 1, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia coordinated with Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital and the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Cambodia (KVA) Takeo Province branch to organize a charity medical examination and treatment program for Cambodian people and people of Vietnamese origin in difficult circumstances in Takeo Province. The program aims to help people access quality medical services and share the burden of medical examination and treatment costs.
The activity took place at the KVA headquarters, Takeo province branch in Roka Khnong ward, Daun Keo city, with many practical contents such as medical examination, disease screening, blood sugar testing, ultrasound, health consultation, free medicine distribution and charity gifts for about 500 people.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the program is a humanitarian activity, with practical significance in the medical cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador highly appreciated the support of Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital in taking care of community health, especially for people of Vietnamese origin and Cambodian people in difficult circumstances.

"This activity contributes to realizing the universal health care program, enhancing social security and demonstrating solidarity between the people of the two countries," Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed, expressing his hope that Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital will continue to implement similar programs in other localities.
According to Dr. Ton Thanh Tra, General Director of Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital, this is the 14th time the hospital has organized a charity medical examination and treatment program in Cambodia. The activity takes place annually, deployed in many different provinces and cities with the contributions of doctors and support from partners.

Representative of the local government, Deputy Governor of Takeo Sut Khon province affirmed that the program is in line with the policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia on taking care of people's health, and at the same time demonstrates the strong friendship between the people of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Over the years, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, Cho Ray Phnom Penh Hospital and KVA have coordinated to organize many programs to examine patients, provide free medicine and give gifts to Cambodian people and people of Vietnamese origin in many localities, especially in border areas, remote and isolated areas.
