Continue to affirm and promote the core values of national culture

Implementing the direction of the City Party Committee, Nhi Chieu Ward Party Committee seriously organized research, discussion, and contributed comments to the Draft Documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress.

The majority of opinions from cadres, party members and people of the ward expressed high agreement and consensus with the Draft Political Report. Through practical research and participation in the draft, we are particularly interested in the 5th part with the content: "Strongly and comprehensively developing Vietnamese culture and people".

In the context of the country promoting industrialization, modernization and deep international integration, culture plays a particularly important role - both as the spiritual foundation of society and as the goal and driving force of sustainable development. The draft Political Report affirms: "Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, synchronously on the basis of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards". The draft report clearly states: "Preserving and effectively promoting cultural heritage values associated with heritage economic development".

In the current period, it is necessary to continue to affirm and promote the core values of national culture in all areas of social life. Preserving and promoting cultural identity does not stop at preserving heritage but must also be associated with innovation and creativity, creating new cultural values suitable for the times.

Regarding the development of Vietnamese people, the Draft Report proposes the solution: "Comprehensive development of Vietnamese people in terms of ethics, intelligence, national consciousness, civic responsibility, creativity, aesthetics, physical strength, life skills, and professional skills. Building a healthy and civilized cultural environment associated with the construction and perfection of new socialist Vietnamese people". Implementing this policy, the Resolution of the City Party Congress proposed the solution: "Developing culture, building Hai Phong people to develop comprehensively and have their own unique identity".

Hopefully, solutions for strong and comprehensive development of Vietnamese culture and people will contribute to building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity, promoting socio-economic development.
