The Minister of Transport decided to inaugurate two North-South expressway projects, Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet sections, on May 19.
The inauguration ceremony of the North-South Expressway component project, Nha Trang - Cam Lam section will be held in Cam Hiep Nam commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province; the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section will be held in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.
Located in Khanh Hoa province, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam project is over 49 km long, has 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17 m, and a total investment of over VND5,500 billion. This is the first section invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) under the North-South Eastern Expressway project in the 2017-2020 period to be completed.
The investor is Son Hai Group, the project enterprise is Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway Investment Company Limited. The enterprise completed the project 3 months ahead of schedule.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway project is 100.8 km long, passing through Binh Thuan province. In the phased phase, the project is invested with 4 lanes, no emergency lanes, instead there are emergency stops 150 m long, the roadbed is 17 m wide. The deep excavation and embankment sections have a scale of 4 lanes, the roadbed is 32 m wide. The total investment of the project is more than 10,800 billion VND from the State budget.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section will connect with the 99 km Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway completed on April 30 and the Long Thanh - Dau Giay section, creating a 260 km long arterial expressway from Binh Thuan to Ho Chi Minh City.
The two projects will increase the total number of kilometers of the North-South expressway put into operation to 835 kilometers, an increase of 458 kilometers compared to the period before 2020.
