According to the Vietnamese Food Composition Table of the Institute of Nutrition, 100g of sweet potato contains 116 Kcal, 1.2g protein; 27.1g carbohydrates, 0.8g fiber, in addition to vitamins and minerals.

In 100g of potatoes there are 93 Kcal, 2g of protein; 20.9g of carbohydrates; 1g of fiber.

So, both sweet potatoes and potatoes are high in fiber, which helps reduce hunger and keep you fuller for longer. However, potatoes are lower in calories than sweet potatoes and higher in fiber, so potatoes may be a better choice for weight management.

Of course, sweet potatoes are also considered a very good weight loss food because they do not contain fat and cholesterol, preventing the process of converting sugar in food into fat and fat in the body.

You should eat sweet potatoes and potatoes before the main meal to reduce a large amount of food that will enter the body without causing hunger.

In addition to weight loss benefits, both sweet potatoes and potatoes contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, which can help reduce the risk of heart disease and protect cells against carcinogens and toxins. Some studies have shown that sweet potatoes are better for heart health and cancer risk reduction due to their higher antioxidant content.
