Hanoi Police Club faced Kaya Iloilo (Philippines) away in the third round of the group stage of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Championship. The Vietnamese team that just won the 2024 AFF Cup championship had only Nguyen Filip starting, while Nguyen Quang Hai, Vu Van Thanh, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, and Le Pham Thanh Long did not start. Le Van Do was the main character of the match.
