On November 12, while performing the task of inspecting and controlling the market, Market Management Team No. 6 (mobile team) coordinated with functional forces to inspect car with license plate 12B-007.54 driven by Mr. TVH (residing in Hung Yen province) containing many types of clothing with signs of counterfeiting the Adidas and Crocs brands that are protected in Vietnam.
Previously, in the first week of November 2025, Market Management Team No. 1 (in charge of 4 wards) also discovered 2 business establishments selling some types of clothing with fake trademarks that have been protected in Vietnam.
Mr. Chu Ngoc Ha, Captain of Market Management Team No. 1, said: Implementing the direction of the leaders of the Provincial Market Management Department, the Team has been inspecting fashion clothing businesses in the area in charge to promptly detect and prevent smuggled clothing and counterfeit clothing of famous foreign brands that are protected in Vietnam from circulating on the market.
According to statistics from the Provincial Market Management Department, in just over the first half of November 2025, the entire force discovered and handled 17 cases related to violations by business establishments in transporting and selling smuggled and counterfeit clothing, seizing more than 100 units of various clothing products.
The simultaneous regular and surprise inspections of clothing businesses by the Market Management Force have promptly detected and prevented smuggled and counterfeit clothing before it reaches consumers, thereby protecting the interests of legitimate production and business enterprises, as well as protecting the rights of consumers in the province.
Although many businesses selling smuggled and fake branded clothes have been discovered and prevented, according to the leaders of the provincial Market Management Department, in the last month of 2025, especially near the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, the situation of businesses importing smuggled clothes and fake clothes of famous foreign brands that have been protected domestically to sell to consumers will have complicated developments. Because the genuine clothes of famous brands will cost several million VND/product. Meanwhile, the import price of smuggled clothes and fake famous branded clothes is only a few hundred thousand VND. Therefore, if they sell to consumers successfully, the owners of businesses selling smuggled and fake branded clothes will benefit greatly.
Mr. Dang Van Ngoc, Head of the Provincial Market Management Department, said: To prevent and handle businesses that violate the act of trading and selling smuggled and counterfeit clothing, we have been directing our Market Management teams to organize inspections of clothing distribution and trading establishments in the area.
Accordingly, in addition to thematic inspections and regular inspections, the Market Management teams in charge of the areas focus on reviewing and collecting information from the market and from intelligence sources... to have a basis for conducting surprise inspections of clothing businesses in order to promptly detect and prevent violators from dissipating goods.
At the same time, the Market Management force also deployed key monitoring work on clothing products circulating in the market at this time.
Not only directly inspecting and supervising clothing businesses, the provincial Market Management Department also directed the Market Management teams in charge of the areas to proactively coordinate and share information with other functional forces to combat and destroy warehouses, gathering points, and distribution points of smuggled and counterfeit clothing in the province; coordinate to prevent subjects transporting smuggled clothing in the circulation stage.
At the same time, the provincial Market Management Agency also sent a document to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association and Vietnamese clothing manufacturers to proactively coordinate and send product samples so that the Market Management Agency can promptly distinguish and detect new types of counterfeit goods on the market.
In addition, the Market Management Team in charge of the areas promotes propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations in business activities to raise awareness and sense of law compliance of business owners. At the same time, strengthen propaganda for consumers at fairs, crowded places... on how to distinguish genuine and fake goods so that they can recognize and not buy them for use, or can promptly inform the authorities for handling.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, owner of a men's and women's clothing stall at Gieng Vuong market, Ky Lua ward, said: "After being informed about the regulations in business activities by the officers of Market Management Team No. 1, I have a better understanding of the regulations in clothing trading activities. I have also signed a commitment and will strictly comply, not selling smuggled or fake branded clothes to consumers."
With the measures that have been and are being implemented, the Market Management force of Lang Son province is determined to prevent smuggled and counterfeit clothing from circulating in the market, thereby contributing to cleaning up the business environment and protecting consumer rights.
