By participating in the IM Japan Program, workers are covered for many expenses.

According to the announcement of the Hai Duong VocationalEducation and Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) on the selection of male interns for technical internship in Japan under the IM Japan Program, phase 2/2025, there will be no limit on the number of candidates in the two manufacturing and construction industries.

Accordingly, the selected subjects are men from 18 to 30 years old (born between 1995 and 2007). Program participants are covered for most expenses such as Japanese language training, dormitory fees, round-trip airfare, service fees, etc.

The deadline for receiving application documents is June 30, 2025. Candidates submitting their application by post will be considered based on the postmark of the date the candidate submitted the application.

It is expected that after the deadline for receiving applications, the Overseas Labor Center will organize a recruitment exam every month.

Workers selected to go to Japan for technical internship in the manufacturing industry will receive a salary of 140,000 - 170,000 yen (about 24 - 30 million VND/month), and in the construction industry from 150,000 - 200,000 yen (about 26 - 35 million VND/month). Note that this salary does not include tax, insurance, rent and does not include overtime pay and other benefits.

The Department of Home Affairs has assigned the Hai Duong Employment Service - Vocational Education Center to receive documents submitted by workers and send them to the Overseas Labor Center according to regulations; advise and answer questions for workers related to the program; and implement measures to prevent negative behaviors such as brokerage and illegal collection of money from interns.

The program to send Vietnamese trainees for technical internship in Japan (IM Japan Program) has been implemented since 2006 under the Agreement between the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the function has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs) and the International Human Resources Development Organization of Japan (IM Japan). The Overseas Labor Center is the only agency assigned to implement the program.
Workers who go on technical internships in Japan are called interns, who are trained and do technical internships in Japan for 3 years, and receive a basic salary according to the contract. After completing the internship program and returning to Vietnam on time, IM Japan will support each person with 600,000 yen (equivalent to about 120,000,000 million VND) to start a business.
