(CPV) - The 90m2 Vietnamese pavilion has the participation of 10 business units and nearly 100 OCOP products and Vietnamese handicraft products.

The 2024 AF-L'ARTIGIANO IN FIERA International Handicraft Fair in Milan, Italy will last from November 30 to December 8, 2024. This is a practical activity to promote, introduce, connect and develop distribution channels for OCOP products in foreign markets.

The program is part of a series of tasks under the National Target Program on New Rural Development of the Central New Rural Development Coordination Office assigned to the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center to promote the consumption and promotion of handicrafts and OCOP products abroad.
Participating units display, promote and introduce Vietnamese OCOP products, typical handicraft products with export advantages of Vietnam to commercial units and consumers of European countries. At the same time, introduce to fair visitors about the typical regional culture of Vietnam through the stories of Vietnamese OCOP products.
With the theme “Vietnamese OCOP products: Convergence of values - Spreading culture”, Vietnamese enterprises bring to Europe typical handicraft products with export potential such as: embroidery, silk, rattan and bamboo products, interior and exterior decoration, carving, handbags; gift products; and Vietnam's strong food products such as: cashew nuts, tea, macadamia, fruit juice, dried fruits of all kinds...
In addition to the space for displaying and introducing typical OCOP products, the Vietnam exhibition area also serves visitors to experience and taste the products. In particular, the target products are 5-star OCOP products, OCOP products that have won typical awards in the Mekong Delta region, and handicraft products that have won awards in the Vietnam Handicraft Products Competition organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Immediately after the ribbon cutting, the Vietnam Pavilion opened its doors to welcome guests, attracting many international visitors to visit, trade and experience.
In a series of events on the sidelines of the fair, the Vietnamese delegation organized a field trip to learn from the experiences of a number of businesses and typical handicraft and food production facilities in Milan, Rome and some neighboring regions in Italy. They worked with the Embassy, the Vietnamese Trade Office in Italy, the Handicraft Association in Italy, and the Gestione Fiere Company (Fair Organizing Committee) to learn about the current situation and market demand for OCOP products, handicrafts and food from Vietnam.
