At 1 p.m. on November 17, reporters from Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television returned to the Tuong Vy stream area on Khanh Son Pass (Provincial Road 9) and recorded that this area had suffered a second landslide. At the scene, a huge mass of rock and soil from the nearby hill slid down, overlapping the scene of the first landslide at around 6 p.m. on November 16, killing 1 person and injuring 8 others (including 1 seriously injured). According to the victims, there is still 1 person buried under a huge mass of rock and soil due to the 2 landslides.

According to Mr. Nguyen The Hai - Head of Khanh Son Bridge and Road Management Department, from the night of November 16 to the morning of November 17, there was very heavy rain in the Khanh Son Pass area, and at about 4 a.m. on November 17, the Tuong Vy stream area had a second landslide. Currently, Provincial Road 9 through Tuong Vy stream is seriously damaged; vehicles are still unable to return to the scene to search for the remaining buried people.
