In the context of the increasingly tense security situation after a new escalation between Israel and Iran, on April 12, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel issued a notice advising the Vietnamese community living, studying and working there to proactively implement security and safety measures.

According to VNA, the announcement stated that after the Iranian Embassy complex in Syria was attacked on April 1, international media and governments of many countries expressed concern about the risk of direct attacks between Iran and Israel.

Israel's national emergency portal also sent safety instructions to citizens from 6 p.m. on April 11 to 6 p.m. on April 14.

In the face of the above situation, to ensure absolute safety, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recommends that the community regularly monitor and update the situation on reputable local media and relevant safety and security applications; proactively take necessary safety measures, strictly comply with regulations and instructions of local authorities, limit going to crowded places; and regularly keep in contact with the Embassy.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has provided direct contacts and citizen protection hotlines in the area for the community to contact in case of emergency, need support or need information about citizen protection plans.

At the same time, the Embassy also provides local government websites such as the National Emergency Portal and the Homeland Front for people to have additional instructions when needed.

Previously, many countries have advised their citizens to avoid traveling to Israel and Iran amid warnings about the risk of widespread conflict if Iran retaliates for the attack on the building of its embassy in Syria.

The international community is urging countries in the Middle East to exercise restraint amid growing fears of a possible Iranian retaliatory attack on Israel. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have stepped up defense activities, preparing for an attack from outside.
