Check and review weight loss product advertisement of DJ Ngan 98

Mr. Chu Quoc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health , said that regarding the weight loss product that Ngan 98 advertised, inspection showed that the product had registered for product declaration.

"However, we are reviewing the advertising content, suspecting violations of food advertising. We will strictly handle according to regulations if there are violations," said Mr. Thinh.

According to regulations, the content of health food advertisements must be registered with the competent authority before being published. However, recently, there have been cases of some individuals advertising in violation of regulations.

For example, advertising products that have not been registered for publication, advertising that has not confirmed advertising content with the competent authority, advertising content that exceeds the published product features.

The Food Safety Department also regularly reviews advertising content on social networking platforms to promptly handle and ensure advertising complies with regulations.

On May 21, authorities in Ho Chi Minh City conducted inspections of companies related to weight loss products advertised by DJ Ngan 98.

Specifically, the weight loss products listed on the packaging as Hanoi , with a company located on Pham Van Chieu Street, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the Food Safety Management Team in charge of Go Vap District went to this address on the morning of May 21 to check, but did not find the company operating.

DJ Ngan 98 also went to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to work on the morning of May 23. Accordingly, at the above agency, Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan provided legal documents related to weight loss products (including X1000, X3 (Super Detox X3) and X7 (X7 Plus).

Initially, the authorities will record information from the female DJ, then proceed with verification steps according to regulations.

Previously, social networks spread images of weight loss products under the brand name Ngan 98. According to records, the above products were advertised on many e-commerce platforms.

As on the SP trading floor, the weight loss product "X1000 Ngan 98" is advertised as a fast weight loss herbal tea for difficult-to-lose bodies, with a box of 30 pills priced at nearly 700,000 VND.

This page says that the above product has an effective weight loss effect without the user having to diet; easily eliminates excess fat in the most difficult areas to lose fat, helps cool the liver, replenish blood, and beautify the skin from deep within.

The advertisement also confirms that the product has been registered for food safety inspection and has an anti-counterfeit stamp; the company will refund 100% if the product is used as prescribed but is not effective.

Besides "X1000 Ngan 98", some other products are also advertised a lot such as weight loss pills X3 (Super Detox X3), or X7 (X7 Plus).
