Check and verify the status of environmental landscape pollution in Nhat Le sea area

Today, July 30, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the People's Committee of Dong Hoi Ward to inspect and verify the environmental landscape pollution in the Nhat Le beach area due to untreated wastewater flowing directly into the sea.

The delegation directly inspected the sea embankment area on Truong Phap Street (opposite Poseido Hotel) where many hotels, restaurants, and homestays are concentrated, about 700 - 800m from the central beach of Nhat Le beach.

Initially, the inspection team determined that the cause of the foul-smelling wastewater flowing into the sea was due to some business households arbitrarily connecting their domestic wastewater systems to the stormwater drainage system of the breakwater project at Nhat Le 2 beach. Therefore, at the stormwater drainage, wastewater and garbage were congested, emitting a foul smell and flowing directly onto the beach, causing environmental pollution, aesthetic problems and directly affecting the quality of Nhat Le 2 beach.

After conducting the inspection, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committee of Dong Hoi ward to direct the specialized department to inspect and discipline violating businesses and thoroughly handle the situation of discharging waste directly into the environment.
