Litigation was the 'last straw' between me and Hong Phuong

On the afternoon of October 26, Ms. Hong Loan met with the press to share about the property dispute of the late artist Vu Linh. The meeting had two lawyers protecting Hong Loan’s legal rights and interests: Lawyers Nguyen Tuyet Ngoc and Nguyen Trong An.

On the same morning, the People's Court of Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City came to examine and appraise on-site the counterclaim of Hong Loan at house number 5 Doan Thi Diem.

After several hours of work, the appraisal was completed. Ms. Hong Nhung and Ms. Hong Phuong took some personal belongings out of house number 5 Doan Thi Diem. Regarding the remaining belongings, the court inspected, sealed, and made a record under the witness of the parties.

Hong Loan said that over the past few months she has been under a lot of pressure and fatigue. Articles with content such as: Hong Loan is Vu Linh’s adopted daughter, unfilial, speaks ill of her father, does not take care of her sick father … have caused her to be attacked by many people.

During the meeting, Hong Loan confirmed that this information was not true. Through her lawyer, she said that she would seek legal intervention to protect her honor. Vu Linh's daughter also wanted to provide official and authentic information to the media to avoid any misunderstandings.

Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Ngoc - Hong Loan's representative lawyer expressed that public opinion should follow the developments of the case, not make a big deal out of it affecting the people involved.

“We will officially inform the audience of all developments related to the case, if necessary and within the permitted scope. We hope everyone will follow the information in the newspapers until the case is resolved,” Ms. Ngoc said.

Hong Loan said she could not mend her relationship with Hong Phuong.

To the question: After the scandal, how is your relationship with artist Hong Phuong? Hong Loan expressed sadness because the two of you used to consider each other as siblings, living together since childhood. However, everything that happened in the past few months was like the "last straw" that broke the relationship between the two sides.

“Before we went to court, I thought we could sit down and talk about our feelings. But now that the lawsuit has been brought to court, it’s like the last straw, I have nothing more to say,” Hong Loan said.

Amidst the noise, Hong Loan received support from artists such as: Meritorious Artist Vu Luan, Binh Tinh, Nguyen Vu... Vu Linh's daughter also focused on online sales at home recently. She is now basically stable in life and finances to take care of her young children and take care of her father's incense.

Regarding the information about "acting in MVs and entering the art world", Hong Loan affirmed that she had no intention of becoming a singer. The times she participated in MVs were all invited by artists and were only for commemorative purposes. Hong Loan mostly sang famous songs by her late father.

“I want everything to be peaceful so that my father can rest in peace. I run a small business at home to take care of my family and burn incense for my ancestors,” Loan said.

Meritorious Artist Vu Linh passed away on March 5 at his home after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 66. He did not leave a will, leading to a dispute over inheritance from his relatives.
