Kim Thanh reclaims more than 800 m2 of land to implement the traffic intersection project

The construction investment project of the intersection connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, via the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway is being accelerated by contractors. The total implementation value is estimated at 17.22%.

According to the People's Committee of Kim Thanh district, due to adjusting the design of the construction drawings to expand the branches of the road for the investment project to build an interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, via the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, the district had to reclaim more than 800 square meters ^of residential land from 25 households in Kim Xuyen commune, with a site clearance value of more than 15 billion VND.

Currently, the counting and measurement work has been completed. In the coming time, the district will publicize the compensation plan and support payments for households whose land must be additionally recovered, striving to complete site clearance before May 31.

The investment project to build the intersection connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, via the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, has a total investment of 1,867 billion VND (from the central budget and provincial budget) invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Previously, to implement the project, Kim Thanh district had to reclaim more than 15 hectares of residential and agricultural land from 291 organizations and individuals. By the end of December 2024, Kim Thanh district had completed handing over the site to the contractor and project construction unit, ensuring the project's progress.

The project is currently being accelerated by contractors, completing 151/280 bored piles, 12/44 pier foundations; completing the excavation and filling of the roadbed for the construction approach. The total implementation value is estimated at 17.22%.
