This information was given at the conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment that was recently held. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and gave a speech. The conference was held online with 63 provinces and centrally-run cities.
At Phu Yen bridge, comrade Le Tan Ho, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment attended.
The report at the conference said that in 2024, the Ministry of Planning and Investment proactively advised and proposed to the Government solutions, mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties, promote production and business, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, ensure social security, develop growth scenarios, and create new momentum for the country's economic development.
In 2024, despite global and regional instability, Vietnam's economy will maintain growth of 6.8-7%, among the highest growth rates in the world, with inflation under control and increased market confidence. The Ministry has advised on the development of laws and decrees with many important reform mechanisms, focusing on improving the business environment, increasing labor productivity and promoting private investment.
The disbursement of public investment capital plays a role as a driving force for growth, with a series of solutions to remove difficulties and promote the progress of major projects. The Ministry has consulted and completed the planning of 62/63 provinces, built a national database on planning, creating a solid foundation for regional and local development...
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment to strictly implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW in the coming time; thoroughly grasp and implement Conclusion 09-KL/TW and the central government's instructions on reorganizing and restructuring the apparatus. Accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, promote the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects and digital infrastructure; focus on restructuring the economy in association with growth model innovation and propose the implementation of new economic models.
Along with that, the Ministry of Planning and Investment needs to perform well the tasks of the Standing Committee of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee to develop a Report on the results of implementing the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2021-2025 period, the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period; and develop a Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2026-2030 period to submit to the 14th National Party Congress.
