Previously, according to information from the family, the pregnant woman D.TL (31 years old, residing in Xuan Dong Hamlet, Tan Thien Ward, Dong Xoai City) was due to give birth on February 19, but on the day of birth there were still no signs of labor, so she subjectively did not go to the medical facility for examination and hospitalization.
On the morning of February 22, after feeling mild abdominal pain, the family called a taxi to take Ms. L. to the hospital to give birth, but Ms. L. went into labor and gave birth at home. Luckily, Ms. L.'s place of residence was near the Dong Xoai City Health Center, so her relatives came to ask the doctors and nurses for timely emergency assistance.
Midwife Le Thi Anh Nguyet (Dong Xoai City Medical Center) quickly arrived and took steps to treat the child to ensure the health of mother and baby.
Doctor Nguyen Minh Duc (Dong Xoai City Medical Center) directly participated in the emergency treatment for the pregnant woman L. said that the health of the mother and baby is currently stable, and the baby boy was born healthy. "This case is lucky because if there is an accident during birth and it is not handled promptly, it can be dangerous to the lives of both mother and child. To reduce the risk of giving birth, pregnant women need to have regular check-ups and follow the doctor's instructions when pregnant," said Doctor Duc.
