Timely handling of fire incident at bank transaction office in Nha Trang

At 11:40 am this morning (May 24), the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province Police received a report of a fire at Thong Nhat Transaction Office at 45-47 Thong Nhat, Van Thanh Ward, Nha Trang City. This is a credit facility belonging to the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development in Khanh Hoa.

Officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police urgently approached the scene to put out the fire.

According to people living near the scene, because it was Saturday, Thong Nhat Transaction Office was closed. When black smoke was detected coming from the ground floor, the automatic fire alarm system of this facility was activated, sending out a timely signal, while people also called the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province Police.

Immediately, 12 officers and soldiers were urgently mobilized on 2 fire trucks to speed to the scene, deploying a plan to spray foam and water to control the fire from the outside, preventing it from spreading to neighboring apartments, and then extinguishing the smoke after about two hours of technical efforts.

The incident was detected and handled promptly so there were no human casualties. Some technical equipment on the ground floor was affected but not significantly.
