Kubo is about to bring 'a mountain of money' to Real Madrid

The Japanese midfielder is said to want to leave Real Sociedad and is on Tottenham's radar.

According to Defensa Central , Takefusa Kubo could bring Real Madrid a bonus of up to 30 million euros if he leaves Real Sociedad. When selling the player born in 2001 to Sociedad for only 6.5 million euros, Real included a clause to share 50% of the transfer fee when the partner sells Kubo in the future.

Previously, the press reported that Tottenham was willing to spend 60 million euros, the exact amount of the contract release clause, to convince Real Sociedad to release him. If the deal happens, Kubo will become the most expensive Asian player in history. This record previously belonged to Kim Min-jae, when he joined Bayern Munich for 50 million euros in 2023.
