On September 1, in Dar es Salaam, the Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 79th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2. The ceremony was solemnly held with the participation of all officials and staff of the Embassy, representatives of the Honorary Consulate of Vietnam in Kampala (Uganda), businessmen, the Vietnamese community in Tanzania, Burundi and other countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen highlighted the great historical value of September 2, 79 years ago, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Over the past 79 years, steadfastly pursuing the path of national independence and socialism, under the wise leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese people have achieved glorious feats in the struggle to unify the country, protect the territory, and bring the Vietnamese economy to remarkable development, making "Our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and prestige as it does today".

Appreciating the community's engagement activities in recent times, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen hopes that the Vietnamese community and businesses will continue to promote solidarity, overcome difficulties and strive to achieve more achievements in their work, contributing to promoting the good image of the country and Vietnamese people to local and international friends.
Sharing their thoughts at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, General Director of Viettel Tanzania Company and Mr. Phan Truong Son, General Director of Viettel Burundi Company, representing Vietnamese businesses and community, thanked the Embassy for always paying attention and supporting the community and businesses in the past time, affirming that the Vietnamese community in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda and Somalia will continue to unite and contribute with the people in the country to build Vietnam to become increasingly prosperous.
Within the framework of the event, the Embassy screened promotional films about Vietnam's history, culture, and tourism as well as introduced and invited international friends to enjoy Vietnam's unique traditional cuisine .
The 79th National Day Celebration Ceremony on September 2nd took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere. Guests enjoyed many traditional dishes and special performances praising the love for the homeland and country of Vietnam./.
