What impressed us right from the moment we entered the gate of Doan An Nursing Home 296 were the high-rise buildings with modern, highly aesthetic architecture, surrounded by rows of large shady trees. On both sides of the road from the main gate to area A, there are impressively decorated slogans with the words: "Solidarity, creativity, positivity, initiative, dedicated service, building the Doan as a reliable address"; "Come warmly, stay warmly, leave thoughtfully"; "Eat well, stay well, good culture and spirit, safety in all aspects"; "Communication and behavior are cultured, enthusiastic and responsible, talk less, do more, efficiency in work is the main thing"...

Talking to us, Colonel Van Dinh Nhat, Head of the 296 Nursing Group, said: “In recent years, along with the investment of superiors, the unit has maximized its internal resources to renovate and build hundreds of new rooms, increasing the number to more than 900 beds. In addition, the Group has built and upgraded the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for Occupational Diseases, the A4 dining hall, and the A-area hall with 350 seats. Renovated, upgraded, and installed additional elevator systems for the F2 and F3 motels; replaced and upgraded 100% of equipment and tools in the rooms and living rooms. Currently, the quality of the rooms at the Group is equivalent to that of a 3-star hotel. In addition, the Group has installed a security camera system in the areas to ensure the safety of guests. The flower gardens, miniature landscapes, fruit gardens, and ornamental plants are regularly reinforced to create a friendly, green, clean, and beautiful environment, creating a fresh space for guests to relax. Currently, The group has good quality tennis courts, volleyball courts, table tennis courts, pickleball courts, along with a modern fitness equipment system at the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to help guests exercise and participate in sports .
To see for ourselves, we were led by Lieutenant Colonel Tran Duy Tra, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Delegation, to visit the rooms in areas A1, A2, F2, F3. Here we saw that each room was fully equipped with a refrigerator, cable TV, synchronized guest tables and chairs, air conditioner, hot and cold water heater, wifi equipment, personal lockers and new blankets, sheets, pillows, mattresses, curtains, etc. The furniture and items in the room were arranged and decorated quite neatly, tidily and aesthetically. The blankets, sheets, pillows and mattresses were all washed clean with the scent of fabric softener and ironed. In the rooms, there were instructions on how to use tools, equipment and rules for guests to easily follow and follow.

In area A and area F, large capacity industrial washing machines and dryers are installed to serve guests. Recently, the delegation has consolidated and upgraded the canteen system and beverage service at the resorts, and installed some new equipment in karaoke rooms to ensure good quality for guests to exchange and have cultural festivals.
Through research, we learned that to ensure absolute health and safety for guests coming to the resort, every year, the Delegation invites officers from the Military Preventive Medicine Institute to test water sources and examine the health of officers and service staff. Organizes the spraying of disinfectants around the unit, handles sanitation areas and waste collection areas. Maintains a "quick response" team of 6 comrades, including 3 doctors divided into 2 departments in 2 areas A and F, on duty 24/7, ready to handle unexpected situations related to the health of guests coming to the resort.
With the service motto "Guests come warmly, guests stay warmly, guests leave thoughtfully" and the goal of "Eat well, stay well, have good culture and spirit, be safe in all aspects", the Union stipulates that when guests come to relax, regardless of the time of day, the reception department must welcome them warmly and enthusiastically. Before leaving, guests are quickly and satisfactorily handled by the finance and reception departments. The Union regularly proactively grasps the security and order situation, coordinates with local agencies to effectively implement measures to prevent and combat social evils and crimes to ensure the safety of guests. Along with that, the Party Committee and the Union's command regularly pay attention to building a team of cadres and employees with strong political will, good moral qualities, comprehensive knowledge, good expertise and skills; love the industry, love the profession, are dedicated, attached to the unit, and constantly build the Union's reputation.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Cao Xuan Lieu, Deputy Head of the Delegation, to maintain the quality of meals for officers, employees and guests staying here, the leaders and commanders of the Delegation focus on strictly implementing the stages of creating safe food sources. The Delegation Commander assigned the logistics department to exploit food in large quantities and then supply it to the kitchens. Food suppliers must be reputable, have clear addresses, ensure quality, hygiene and safety, have full invoices, documents, contracts, prices must be lower than the market and stable for at least 10 days. Along with that, the Delegation Commander encouraged officers and employees to actively utilize the vacant land around the houses to grow green vegetables and spices; actively process food to be self-sufficient in meals.

Currently, the entire Group has 100% of its kitchens implementing 3 self-sufficiency (self-sufficiency in producing ham, sausage, tofu, pickling vegetables and soaking bean sprouts; self-sufficiency in fish sauce; self-sufficiency in spices) in meals to ensure quality, reduce costs and strictly manage the food delivery process. In addition, every year, the Group participates in tourism training courses organized by Sam Son city; invites lecturers from the University of Commerce, Thanh Hoa College of Commerce and Tourism, and major hotels to directly teach and guide food preparation techniques for cooking staff. Actively send staff to training courses on food preparation techniques at schools inside and outside the Army. Regularly organize training courses, in-service training, competitions, sports events and study tours to nursing groups in the whole army, large restaurants and hotels in the country... Therefore, the quality of meals in the kitchens is always kept stable, the menu is regularly changed, there are many delicious dishes for customers to choose from, depending on their preferences...
With careful preparation, spirit, and dedicated service attitude of the officers, employees, and soldiers of the 296 Nursing Group, we will continue to achieve more success and leave a good impression on officers on vacation, domestic and foreign tourists staying at the unit during the new tourist season.
