NDO - That was the opinion of the Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee at a frank and open dialogue on the role of Lai Chau youth in the overall development of the locality taking place on the afternoon of March 26.

At the dialogue, Lai Chau youth expressed their opinions focusing on the following contents: Solving employment for young people after demobilization; difficulties in consumption of agricultural products from start-up models; increasing loan capital for young people to implement economic development models such as growing cinnamon, raising cattle and buffalo for reproduction...

In addition, Lai Chau province also needs to have a mechanism to promote and put youth start-up products on e-commerce platforms; have solutions to develop tourism, attract tourists to create jobs for young people and help young people start businesses from tourism models; have a mechanism to help young people have conditions to research, apply and develop science and technology; especially, there needs to be policies to help young people with disabilities, the disadvantaged, and those with social diseases...

At the dialogue, leaders of departments, branches and the Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee directly answered questions and concerns. Thereby, helping young people grasp the mechanisms and policies of the province and the Central Government to apply them to start-ups and development.

From the opinions of young people at the dialogue, Comrade Le Van Luong, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, requested the government and all levels and sectors to create mechanisms to support young people in starting businesses and developing the digital economy. There are policies to invest in education, bring technology to remote areas. Organize connections between young people and businesses, opening up job opportunities.

Youth organizations and associations need to continue promoting movements for young people to establish their own careers. Organize training programs on digital skills and entrepreneurship skills; create an environment for Lai Chau youth to promote their pioneering and creative spirit, entering a new era.

Lai Chau youth play an important role in local development.

It is known that Lai Chau province currently has more than 121,000 young people, accounting for nearly 25% of the province's population. Of which, 92% are young people in rural areas and nearly 86% are ethnic minorities. In recent years, with their knowledge and creativity, Lai Chau youth are affirming their important role in the development of their province, contributing to bringing Lai Chau to new heights.
