After a series of banks reduced deposit interest rates since the end of February 2025, there are now only 4 banks listing deposit interest rates of 6%/year or higher.
According to statistics, 4 banks are maintaining interest rates of 6%/year or higher for savings deposits, including: Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Bac A Bank ), Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank), Vikki Digital Bank (Vikki Bank), and Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank).
Of which, Bac A Bank is the latest bank to increase deposit interest rates again, reaching an interest rate of 6%/year.
According to the bank interest rate schedule applied by Bac A Bank from May 8, 2025 for deposit accounts under 1 billion VND, the highest savings interest rate is 6%/year, for deposit terms from 18 - 36 months.
Also from May 8, 2025, the highest interest rate applied to customers depositing savings of VND 1 billion or more at Bac A Bank is 6.2%/year. This interest rate is listed by the bank for terms from 18 to 36 months.
With a deposit of 1 billion VND, customers can receive savings interest rates of up to 6%/year when depositing for a term of 13 - 15 months.
Another bank that is also listing deposit interest rates from 6 - 6.1%/year is HDBank .
According to the interest rate table at the counter, HDBank listed an interest rate of 6%/year for 18-month term deposits, with interest paid at the end of the term. This is also the highest interest rate for regular customers when making deposits at the counter announced by HDBank.
For customers making online savings deposits, the highest bank interest rate according to HDBank is 6.1%/year, applied to 18-month term deposits, interest paid at the end of the term.
In addition, the bank's 15-month term interest rate is up to 6%/year. These are the two deposit interest rates listed by HDBank in recent months.
With Vikki Bank, the highest online interest rate is 6%/year listed by this bank for deposits with terms from 12 to 36 months.
However, the bank has recently unexpectedly stopped publishing online deposit interest rates on its website. Currently, Vikki Bank only lists deposit interest rates at the counter with the highest interest rate of 5.9%/year, applicable for terms from 18 to 36 months.
At Eximbank, the highest deposit interest rates for individual customers, according to the product "Online Deposit" are 5.6% and 5.7%/year, respectively, for a term of 18 - 36 months, applied for deposit terms from Monday to Friday, or two weekends.
However, with the “Combo Casa” deposit product, Infinite customers (paying a Combo Casa fee of VND 10 million) can receive a deposit interest rate of up to 6%/year for a deposit term of 18-36 months. This interest rate is 0.6%/year higher than the regular deposit interest rate announced by Eximbank.
However, the bank interest rates of 6 - 6.1%/year listed by banks are only online deposit interest rates for regular customers. In fact, banks are still applying special interest rates for VIP customers. In which, ABBank is the leading bank with interest rates of up to 9.65%/year for customers depositing at the counter from 1,500 billion VND.
Since the beginning of May, two banks have increased deposit interest rates: Techcombank and Bac A Bank.
Meanwhile, MB is the only bank that has reduced deposit interest rates for all terms. Eximbank has reduced interest rates by 0.1-0.3%/year for most terms under 36 months, while increasing deposit interest rates for 36-month terms by 0.3%/year.
