The working delegation visited, encouraged and shared with the families of fishermen of ship BD-97258-TS who lost contact since September 27, 2025, and ship BD-83019-TS who was sunk by a foreign ship on October 4, 2025.

In Hoai Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai province, many families of fishermen on the BD-97258-TS boat are still waiting for news of their loved ones. Now, when all hope has faded, relatives have set up altars to commemorate the missing fishermen.
Among the fishermen missing from fishing boat BD-97258-TS, Mr. Ha Quoc Phong (in Dieu Quang residential group, Hoai Nhon Dong ward) has a particularly difficult situation, his wife is a scrap collector, raising 4 small children, the third son has a congenital disability.
Currently, the local government has mobilized support resources to rebuild a new house for Mr. Phong's wife and children. Tam Quan Nam Border Guard Station has committed to contributing labor days for construction.
On this occasion, the delegation presented financial support to 10 families of fishermen on the BD-97258-TS (each family received 5 million VND) from the Provincial Fishermen Support Fund. At the same time, the delegation also visited and supported the family of Mr. Ng.TU, captain of the BD-83019-TS, who died in a collision at sea.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, fishing boat BD-97258 TS is owned and captained by Mr. HVS (born in 1981, residing in Hoai Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai province). The boat went missing in the sea about 147 nautical miles from Quy Nhon ward at 8:13 p.m. on September 27.

After the incident, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial Military Command to set up a temporary Command Center to search for the missing fishing boat and fishermen, but to no avail.
Fishing vessel BD-83019-TS was hit by the oil tanker MS FAVOR, Korean nationality (MMSI 440870000, IMO 009448853, signal D7MM) at about 22:30 on October 4, 2025.
